A very finely made 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin to W.J.Hughes' "Royal Chester" design, finished to an exhibition standard and unsteamed from new - it's one of the best finished examples of this popular design we've seen.
Machining and platework is to a high standard throughout, the engine has been well painted and is highly detailed - the toolbox has a padlock complete with key on a chain, there is a superb set of lamps and tools, including jack, working adjustable spanner and beautifully made funnel.
The engine has been kept for display from new - whilst happy to warranty the boiler, in deference to its "showroom condition", we have made no attempt to strip and test the engine.
