Small items are packed in new, double-wall fibre-board cartons. The cartons are always on the generous size for the item, which is packed in bubble-wrap and polystyrene chips for security. The cartons have all seams taped, larger cartons are then polypropylene strapped by machine. Printed address labels are stuck on the outside and placed inside.

Larger items, including locomotives and traction engines, are usually shipped on a pallet - sometimes in a carton, but usually crated.

We are able to offer insurance for loss or damage in transit at 0.5% of value - we will include this on your invoice unless you specifically request shipping without insurance.
