We launched Feldbahn FC5 in 2016, the first one was built for a customer in Germany and delivered to the International Steam Festival at Le Bouveret that summer (a ten day extravaganza of steam on a magnificent layout – highly recommended if you haven’t been). The engine is shown in build opposite, works number 1375.
The other, completed, engine shown, "Lyndon”, works number 1387, is the most recent FC5 we’ve built, delivered in Autumn 2017. It’s finished in RAL6017 green with black frames, hand lined and paneled. The engine is fitted with vacuum brake equipment and a type 28 whistle.
There’s a clip of the first engine on steam test outside our workshop here and a longer video of both this and the larger FC7 version we delivered to Le Bouveret here. (the FC5 puts in a brief appearance at around 4:00).
