The engine has recently arrived with us from an experienced traction engine man who, with advancing years, has decided to thin out his collection - the Burrell the first engine to go, for now he's keeping his 4 1/2 inch Foden and 6 inch scale steam tractor.
The engine has been through our workshop for full service and boiler test with new certification issued. The work we've done included:
The engine goes very well, steaming freely and running quietly in both gears.
Paintwork is on the shabby side of presentable - a repaint over next winter would be well rewarded, the build quality of the engine would amply justify the time spent.
Supplied with handbook, 12 months warranty and starter kit of coal, oil and water treatment.
If required we would be more than happy to include half a day's training at our works on the firing, driving and disposal of the engine for a new owner.
