An early stage 5 inch gauge GWR Pannier tank to LBSC's "Pansy" design. Work to date comprises a rolling chassis with gunmetal cylinders machined and erected, crank axle with eccentric sheaves and straps fitted, a set of machined coupling rods, along with plasma cut blanks for a spare set of same and pair of connecting rods. There is a professionally-built silver-soldered copper boiler by Chambers of Weymouth, complete with maker's twice pressure hydraulic test certificate.
There are a few photocopied articles of LBSC's original "words and music", drawings, parts and castings are available from Blackgates Engineering.
One of LBSC's most popular designs, there are pictures of a variety of specimens in the archive if you want to see a running example.
