More usually seen in 5 inch gauge when built to Martin Evans' very popular "Springbok" design, this LNER B1 has been well made in 3 1/2 inch gauge. Work to date comprises a complete rolling chassis with all brake gear and twin axle pumps - it runs along freely, the Walschaert's gear has been well constructed - along with a boiler, much of the locomotive platework and a good start on the tender, including a set of machined wheelsets and frames.
