An early stage Great Western “King” in 7 ¼ inch gauge,
to Trevor Shortlands highly detailed design.
Work to date is to a good standard and comprises:
Set of laser cut main frames, pressed for front bogie
clearance, horns, dragbox fitted
Driving wheels and plain axles machined, axleboxes fitted
Two spare machined driving wheels
Front bogie complete
In addition there are unmachined parts and castings:
Smokebox tube, bored for chimney and with all rivet holes
drilled
Chimney cap and base casting
Material for shafts and webs of crank axle
Set of laser cut tender frames
Tender wheel castings
Inner and outer cylinder castings
Inner motion bracket
There are 25 sheets of drawings, in good clean
condition.
