A 3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon, commercially built and unused in recent years.
Based on Ray Prime's well-known design, this engine was built by Ashby Engineering of Leicester - paperwork with the engine indicates that at some point they were also suppliers of castings for this design. The silver-soldered copper boiler is in excellent condition and has had a new twice pressure hydraulic test. It steams well, the engine itself runs quietly.
There are a variety of jobs to be done on this one - the handpump lever pivot bracket has broken, requiring either silver-soldering back on or replacement with a new pump. The crankshaft-driven pump requires stripping and servicing and the injector and/or clack valve needs cleaning.
