A well-made 3 1/2 inch gauge Stanier Mogul to LBSC's "Princess Marina" design - we had the same builder's Black 5 back in 2005 which was a particularly good engine. Motionwork is very crisply done, rods nicely fluted, fit of the valve gear components is good.

Silver soldered copper boiler with superheaters, working pressure 80psi, feed by twin axle pumps - when finished it will have an injector and hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.

This one has never been completed - it requires a tender, work to finish the locomotive includes some pipework including plumbing up the twin axle pumps and water gauge blowdown, sealing the blast pipe in the smokebox and cleaning up the wheels and brightwork, which has minor surface rust from storage.

The engine runs on air and is complete with a wooden storage crate.
