2 inch scale Fowler BB1 ploughing engine - stock code 7295

An older model of a Fowler BB1 ploughing engine, built we believe in the 1970s to the 2 inch scale John Haining design. Welded steel boiler with copper tubes, feed by mechanical pump and injector. Gunmetal compound cylinder block, slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear, mechanical lubricator.

Two speed, four shaft transmission. Winding drum beneath boiler, gear driven from crank with coiling gear.

A well made engine which shows a good standard of workmanship throughout, a well-detailed build. As usual with ploughing engines of all scales, you get a big engine - this one is four feet long, a substantial two man lift.
