Why not visit Kew Bridge Steam Museum - I thought it was brilliant!

An engine from castings Excellent photo-documentary site by a Japanese enthusiast.
Bailey Steam Engineering Services Locomotive and traction engine engineers, fascinating blow-by-blow account of building a 6 inch scale McLaren
Brent House Railway Private garden, I suspect fairly comprehensive although the website gives little away!
Bredgar & Wormshill Railway A private collection of narrow gauge locomotives, open on a few days each year. Highly recommended.
Brian Carter's website Interesting Australian site, particularly good for the photographic "blow by blow" build of a Briggs boiler
Dragon Miniature Railway Volunteer-run railway around a garden centre at Marple featuring narrow gauge steam - largely Tinkerbells and Hunslets.
EKP fasteners My preferred supplier for all fasteners. They make really nice bar-turned nuts and bolts and stock a wide range of pins, rivets, fittings and small tools. Highly recommended.
Giles Favell's 10 1/4 inch gauge Much of technical interest from this practical engineer, builder of half-size Bagnall "Alice" with a larger engine on the way!
GLR Model Supplies Took over from Kennions and have drawings/castings for many of the older LBSC engines, as well as some Keith Wilson designs, along with tools, material etc.
Kew Bridge Steam Museum Superb working collection of stationary engines, from old to ancient. We visited in 2003 and will go again!
Michael's Locomotive Pages Super site detailing the owner's build of a 7 1/4 inch gauge Garratt
The Pheasant Line New 7 1/4 line being built in the grounds of Lackham Country Park
Polly Owners Group Owners club for this popular range of locomotives
Reeves 2000 Formerly A.J.Reeves of Birmingham, now under new ownership. Supply drawings and castings for many LBSC engines
Ride On Railways Paul Middleton's website - a business which grew out of his hobby, with lots of good information for building yourself a garden railway
Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway When a creative engineering genius meets a man with unlimited money you get a rather special trainset!
Romulant Super website giving a blow-by-blow account of engine building. No idea who runs it though!
San Diego Railroad Museum Some very good reading under their "FAQ" link - the Railroad Museum have taken the trouble to put a lot of good steam literature on line.
Somerset Traction Engine Club Plenty of pictures and interesting write-ups of club events
The Railway Register The most comprehensive railway link site I've seen - suppliers, auctions, societies, photography, signalling etc. Recommended.
Traction Time Interesting new site for traction engines in all scales, up to full size. Plenty of good pictures.
Western Steam Manufacturer of copper boilers, materials, tools etc for the model engineer.
I have had boilers from here, in my opinion one of the best builders in the country
Wicksteed Engineering Manufacturers of boiler tube expanders
